In now days the computer take wide space in education and the countries around the world try to use it to improving the learning and teaching process. The computer can be use as a tool, tutor and tutee. in our school the computer used as a tool or tutor in some cases but never be use as a tutee. From my experience in teaching the most use of computer in our schools is for prepared lessons plan, activities and exams, made presentations and the use of the smart board and the active board so the computer used mostly as a tool. The computer makes our job easier we can edit and add on our documents without any need to repeat it.
Also the computer could be use as tutor but I think it is still rare in our school. Last year I recorded by program called adobe activate some of my lessons like for grade two I recorded the paint skills like draw shapes, coloring and saving . And for the word skills formatting, add picture and saving. I putted on the students' desktops I used it some times as self learning and usually as support to my students if they did not understood any thing during the lesson.
The lack of resources and Failure to provide specialized equipment in Arab world like "floor turtle" our teachers don't use it as tutee and this is the first time I hear about the computer can be a tutee and the pupil can learn from teaching the robot. I think even if it is available it will be use for the easy situation because in the complex tasks the student doesn't understand how they explain it to the robot.
We have to activate the computer use in our schools even as a tool or as a tutor to keep pace with the development of the learning around the world.
